In 2016, we cooperated with one of the most influential apps in China. The App is called DiDi (They have acquired Uber China in 2016), to promote theme tours focused on photography in South Africa. When we think about the target audience, the young generation is very active on social media, and sharing the photos they shoot during their trip is a big part of their social life. So we decided to choose an app with a huge amount of young followers and users.
As the most important transportation app in China, DiDi has over 350 million users and has over 200 million rides per day. And 80% of the users are between 20-35 years old. So DiDi was a perfect match to promote the theme we used to promote South Africa.
The cooperation included advertising on the DiDi App, social media and offline sharing salon. We helped South African Tourism to create whole campaign and cooperation with DiDi. The pop up advertising on the DiDi app has reached 130 million page views in just one day; we created all AI on the app and social media, H5 page for interaction with users and organized the offline sharing event with target media and DiDi members.
